Profile - David Seri

I was born in Mallorca on april 15, 1971 and grew up in Puerto Rico and U.S.A
Growing up in the Caribbean is so hot that I was always in the water; surfing, sailing, fishing, and snorkling.

I studied 3 years of University for Marine Biology. But decided to go to NY and study photography instead.

From 1991 to 1996, I was a photographer assistant in NY for 5 years, working with some of the best photographer´s in the world. During those years times where changing as we entered the digital revolution. Mixing some of the old technics with the new digital technics was an exciting challenge. The computer replaced the dark room and revolutionized the printing industry. New forms of communication and information became available when the internet went public.

In 1996 I built my webpage with the dream of escaping the rat race...
I shoot with digital cameras and use a computer for my darkroom. Whenever a client is not present, I create an internet photo album for the production in progress. Similar to my web page. And with e-mails and calls we stay communicated for plans and decision making, across thousands of miles through the internet. This way I´m able to work while travelling around the world.
